School Information

Gosforth Central Middle School caters for a maximum of 504 boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 13 years. In recent years each year group year has been oversubscribed with particular demand in Years 5 and 7.

There is no formal catchment area for the school but priority for admission is given to those pupils for whom GCMS is the first choice middle school and those who live closest to the school.

Most of our pupils are drawn from Archbishop Runcie, Grange and South Gosforth First Schools. However, pupils from other schools are admitted each year, so long as places are available.

Details of the admission policy may be obtained by contacting either our school administrator or the School Admissions' Officer in the Education Department of the Civic Centre.
