Background

The internet is a fantastic thing if used wisely; at GCMS we strive to prepare our pupils to be mindful with regards to protecting themselves and using the internet wisely. Internet Safety is delivered as an integral part of all aspects of our Computing Curriculum and also covered as large part of our PSHE curriculum.

We use LGfL's 'Safeskills' assessment tool to then generate bespoke lessons that meet the needs of our pupils. More information about Safeskills can be found on LGfL's safeskills webpage.

Our use of Chromebooks presents regular opportunities across the curriculum for pupils to develop and practice their digital skills across the curriculum.

The links below will take you to other websites that will help you to reinforce with your child the skills and information they need to become a responsible and safe digital citizen.
