Our school opens at 8.30am - for the safety of your child please ensure they do not arrive before this time unless attending a morning extra curricular club; they should enter through the main entrance in this instance.
Parking on Christion Road is limited and the area around the school is marked by double yellow lines. Please be aware that this is frequently policed. Therefore if you are dropping your child off by car please do so via the drop off zone within the school one way system.
In order to ensure the safety of pupils exiting the site at the end of the day by foot, the school gates will be closed between 3pm and 3.30pm. Pupils can be picked up from the school drop off zone after this time.

Please ensure that you only access our school site through the main entrance at any time. If your child wishes to come back into school after the end of the school day to collect a forgotten item, they too should use the main entrance.
In order to ensure the safety of our school community we are no longer able to allow adults to use our site as a thoroughfare to 'cut the corner' between Christon Road and our Great North Road gate. GCMS staff will supervise all pupil gates at the start and end of the school day. They will direct any adults wishing to come on site to the main entrance on Christon Road.
If your child is collected or dropped off by somebody else, please share this information with them.
