Transition Dates
During the summer term, Year 4 pupils who have accepted a place at Gosforth Central Middle School will have the opportunity to attend transition days, where they will learn all about our school, view the facilities, meet their new teachers and peers, and have the opportunity to ask any questions that they may have.
The dates for transition are:
Wednesday 2nd July 2025
Thursday 3rd July 2025
More information about the transition days can be found here.
Transition Site and Google Classrooms
We have created a transition website for you and your child that will provide a wealth of information about life at GCMS and hopefully answer a number of questions you may have. A link to this site will be sent to you during the summer term, along with your child's Google email account and password details.
In order to further support transition, we provide additional transition activities on Google Classroom – these activities are all optional. We have been using Google Classrooms since the Coronavirus pandemic and have seen the benefits of children having access to school resources at home. We appreciate how important it is that parents are involved in the transition process with their child and believe that this is a great opportunity to allow for that.
